An invitation for Jesuits and partners to join the free online Laudato Si’ Animator Course

The Social Justice and Ecology Secretariat (SJES) invites all companions to take advantage of this free online course on integral ecology, the Laudato Si’ Animator Course, promoted by the Laudato Si’ Movement.

As Father General declared in his video message marking the fifth year since the Universal Apostolic Preferences (UAPs) were given to the Society of Jesus, applying the UAP on Caring for Our Common Home is indispensable.

Following his observation of the change we need towards an authentic ecological conversion as expressed in De Statu Societatis, this is an invitation for all Jesuits and partners to join this free online course to better understand how to “collaborate, with Gospel depth, for the protection and renewal of God’s Creation.”

The course will start in April and held in various languages. It consists of four sessions, once a week, 1.5 hours each, with an evaluation questionnaire at the end of each session and a project to complete the course and obtain the certificate.

The lessons are followed through the recordings available on the course sheet, and for each, an evaluation questionnaire needs to be completed. The schedule is flexible to accommodate those with particular schedules related to their mission and enable their participation.

These are the registration links for each language option: English, Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, and Polish.

There is a brief video featuring the testimony of Grace Wilde, a teen-ager from the Midwest in the US, and one of the youngest Laudato Si’ Animators, as well as a social media kit of the Laudato Si’ Animators 2024 that can be accessed here. These can be used for promoting the course in the Province, community, and institution.
