Climate Heroes Series: Voices from Youth Around the World

As part of the advocacy activities of the “Jesuits for Climate Justice: Faith in Action at COP30” Campaign, we have revamped the EcoJesuit website to focus on the action, activities and developments in Belem. 

The Climate Heroes series celebrates the vibrant voices and creative expressions of young people from around the globe who participated in the “Letters to the Earth” Education Initiative. We have been blessed to receive over 98,000 letters and drawings from pre-secondary and secondary schools and Universities in over 10 countries. Their enthusiasm, conviction and vision for a future where care for our common home is a testament to their action. 

Each day during COP30, we will highlight one letter and one drawing submitted, connecting their personal message and artwork to the COP30 thematic focus for that day.

Climate Heroes around the world remind us that the future belongs to young people—and that their stories carry the power to move hearts and shape just policies that put the Earth, its health and humanity– at the center.

Each drawing tells a story and brings to life a reality felt and seen by our students, representing diverse regions and cultures, amplifying perspectives and testimonies that are often unheard in climate discussions.

Each featured letter and drawing resonates with the corresponding COP30 thematic topic of the day, bringing authenticity and urgency to the global conversation on climate justice.
