The Ecology Reference Group of the Conference of Jesuit Provincials of Latin America and the Caribbean (CPAL) held a webinar to share details of the campaign “Religious Life for Climate Justice: Turning Hope into Action.”
The conversation took place on September 25 via Zoom, bringing together more than 70 participants from across the Apostolic Body of the Conference. Speakers included Daniela Alba, Advocacy Coordinator at the Secretariat for Social Justice and Ecology (SJES), and Luis Felipe Lacerda, Executive Secretary of the Luciano Mendes de Almeida National Observatory for Socio-Environmental Justice (OLMA).

In this session, the Jesuit Secretariat for Social Justice and Ecology (SJES) introduced the campaign and explained how participants can engage actively and be part of this collective call to action on the road to COP30. The discussion also highlighted the efforts of civil society in preparation for COP30—stories of struggle, resistance, and hopeful action.
