An online site Laudato si’- On care for our common home shares a selection of web-based annotated resources to better understand, apply, and communicate Laudato si’.
The site was developed after the encyclical’s release in June 2015 and as a huge number of responses quickly flooded the web that included comments, reactions and introductory presentations of the Encyclical. The Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace, now merged in the Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development since 1 January 2017, hosts the site.
Materials in five languages (English, French, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish) are collected and organized in four categories:
- Sites completely or largely dedicated to Laudato si’
- Aids and guides with educational or pastoral purpose
- In-depth short essays, articles and speeches that are useful for deeper study and open new perspectives
- Videos
There is also a World Map that collects the resources on the website according to the geographical area where they came from or the language used.
The Laudato si’ website provides a selection of contents that must be continuously updated, in the hope of providing useful working tools and sharing the enormous impact that Pope Francis’ Encyclical is having throughout the world.
Interested contributors are highly encouraged to communicate through this email: encyclical2016(at)justpeace.va and suggestions are very welcome to broaden and improve the collection offered in this website.
